Here are some projects I have been working on for the past year:
I had an old lace window curtain which I found at a Goodwill store. I cut out a nice pair of flowers and some leaves which turned out to be about 6 inches wide. I then “colored in” the lace with satin thread, by looping it around the existing pattern.
I finished it off with purple ribbon which I glued to the wood frame. it took me about a month to compleat this project. Each loop over the lace had to be 8 strands thick in order to cover it- this was thick lace work. Some times you only need to use 6 or 5 strands. You can also glue a cloth background to it,- if you choose a dark-colored background it will bring out the lace which is not colored in.
