Fun Window Card project

25 May

Happy Labor day  weekend everyone! I hope you all enjoy an extra day off!

I found these photos of a project I did for my father several months ago, and I realized I forgot to share them with you all!

This was a great project because every part of it was handmade. My extremely talented Sister makes cards and she came up with a window card that is specifically for cross stitch to be inserted! I requested that the card look like a “frame” for the cross stitch image I would stitch. She did a great job!

Check out this card!

It even had a flap on the inside to glue your stitched piece in! I just loved it. 🙂

If you would like to see more of her work check out AK Notes on Facebook:

Or find her Etsy Shop here:

I did stitch a little something for this card, and I was very pleased with how it came out. I started stitching before I received the card so I am glad I did my math right and it was the perfect fit. This card was for my Dad, so I chose a more masculine subject. It can be very hard to find something appropriate for a guy when looking at Cross stitch patterns! They tend to be so girly! lol

And below is the finished card! LOVE LOVE LOVE how it came out!!
