Happy Belated 4th of JULY!

17 Jul

Hi all, I know, I know – I have been neglecting this blog!

But that does not mean I have not been stitching! I have started several new projects, but only one is ready to showcase, and it really does go along with the Patriotic theme. πŸ™‚

I made another photo frame project. Yes, I know, they seem to be my bread and butter! Since a friend of mine is soon to visit the Big Apple, I decided to get creative. πŸ™‚ I took a free online pattern and added my own style to it.

Here are the photos! I spent 3 days on this one, playing with it and stitching it. Just finished tonight!

I used 22 count Aida and a 5 inch hoop. THe color I used was DMC 3917, mint green

I added a black outline and decided to use very little back stitching. I liked the block-y shadowing look of a full cross stitch outline.

Tada! all finished and ready for some New York pictures. πŸ™‚ Below is the free pattern I used. I found it online after searching for Free Liberty patterns. Β I am sorry that I forgot to catch the website where it came from.

Well that is one more project done! I have many more to share with you to come, so keep tuned!
