Well March is here and so is spring! It was near 80 degrees today! I have been spending a lot more time outside with my flowers then inside stitching, I must say, although nothing can completely halt my stitching bug! 🙂
Here is a finish from February for my Father. Again credit goes to my awesome sister, Amanda for creating the perfect window card for cross stitch. 🙂
Also I wanted to share with you my current “Big” project. This I am stitching for my Husband Keith so it will be for our home! ( I hardly ever stitch for myself… so YAY. lol) My Husband, being from the southwest, loves the kokopelli, and So I knew I just had to do this for him. 🙂
I love how the reds and oranges and yellow make it pop! 🙂 This is a fun one to stitch. I am using 22 hanger Aida fabric and DCM threads, two over one. This is a tricky pattern, because it calls for half cross stitches AND quarter Cross stitches! On 22 count fabric that is TINY! 🙂 But it makes the image look so smooth when you stand back! Can you see the tiny 1/4 of a cross stitch along the line of his body? It took me a while to figure out how to do it and have it be a visible stitch when it is so small.
Well I guess that’s it for now! I will keep you posted and updated on how the kokopelli and some other fun projects come along! Have a wonderful March everyone!
