Summer Success-es. Successities?

12 Sep

Hi friends

Sorry it has been SO very long since I posted. So time to update you once more!

My hands are slowly but surely getting stronger, and I am still taking it slow. However I have some finished projects from 2017 so far!

First I worked on a 3 inch square greeting card insert. I was starting out small.

Then I moved on to something a bit bigger- more like 5×7 size, and more fun.

On Aida 18 count

I loved this picture frame with the hinged doors!

And now I am working on something for my living room, to go along with my castle quilt wall hanging.

I do not own this pattern, just copied it from the internet, and made some of my own tweaks

I am using pearl cotton and tent stitches to fill in the background. Quicker, easier, and better for my hands!

So I am going much slower- here it is the beginning of fall, and I have only three projects to show for 2017, only two of which are finished. A long way from the 9 I hade done by this time last year! It has been an adjustment to going slow, but I am still so thankful I can still stitch.

Keep tuned. My hands are slowly getting stronger, and I hope to stitch a twin of this dragon pattern with a background of green and blue, to match this purple and blue one! I may even begin to play with beads and other types of stitches/decorations for these too sentinel dragons!

These are beautiful! I especially like the one with the moon and ravens. Can’t wait to see the finished dragon! That’s exciting.

Thanks Melissa! I am enjoying my new stitching attitude- no pressure, no rush. 🙂
