Hey friends, I am so sorry posting has been slow this summer! I am finding I enjoy big projects now more than smaller ones, so of course that means it takes me a longer time to finish them!
First I just want to say its the 2nd annual Cross Stitch day this Friday the 14th. So here is a little freebie off the web:
Be sure to celebrate by treating yourself to some cross stitch craziness. 🙂
I also wanted to give you all an update on my Kokopelli. It has been a WIP (work in progress) since Christmas, and I did have to put it down several times to work on other things, but its still been slow going. SO many quarter stitches on 22 count Aida! WHAT was I THINKING? lol   Here are the progress pictures. I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon It will be completed!
Project notes:
Stitched  on 22 count hardanger cotton. (22 stitches per inch, or 484 stitches per square inch)  Project size: 130×96 = 12,480 full stitches, Full, half and quarter stitches were used. Finished project size on 22 count will be: 5.5 x 7 inches
29 DMC floss colors were used. Tapestry style method ( full stitched from wall to wall)Â
As you can see, he is nearly done! Just the boarder left to finish. Woot! I hope to have him done this week.
Thanks as always for checking out my blog. If you are addicted to cross stitch also, send me a shout-out! I love to learn about other stitchers, and what they love. Â If you are thinking about getting into cross stitch for the first time, or getting back into it after a long break, good for you! Welcome! I am always willing to answer questions in the comments on any post, so please do speak up!
Until next time, Happy Stitching!
